Today I went with the Dr. Dickens and his two daughters to the town of Nakpanduri to hike the Gambaga Escarpment.  This is a ridge several hundred meters high that runs about 60 km from east to west.  The town is about a 45 minute drive northeast of Nalerigu by a very bumpy dirt road.  The trip was well worth the bumps!  We hiked up the rocks of the escarpment and enjoyed a PB&J lunch in the shade of some trees while looking out over the green plains below.  From the top you can see Togo to the east and Burkina Faso to the North; it is an incredible view.
